Financial inclusion

The impact of financial deepening on poverty and the causes and consequences of access to finance are critical policy questions across the developing world.  I have been using an array of cross-country and country-specific data to explore these questions.  I have also been on several advisory panels to gauge the impact of different initiatives to increase access to finance, including the Access to Finance Performance Based Grant Initiative (IFC) and the Evaluation Panel of the Dutch FMO.
